Mail Attachments
FreeApple Mail's local attachment cache, trimmed.
Apple Mail keeps a local copy of every attachment you've ever opened, even after the original email is archived or deleted. Over years, this cache can grow into gigabytes.
iSweepy scans only Mail's local attachment cache — never your inbox or message content — and lets you clear cached copies while the original emails stay untouched on the server.
How to use it
- 1Open iSweepy and select Mail Attachments under Cleaning.
- 2Click Scan to check Mail's local attachment cache.
- 3Review attachments grouped by size.
- 4Deselect any you want to keep cached locally.
- 5Click Clean — the emails themselves are never touched.
Safety note
iSweepy always shows you a full preview before anything is removed. Nothing is deleted until you review the list and confirm — files go to the macOS Trash (never a raw delete), so you can recover them until you empty it.
