Similar Images uses on-device visual comparison to find photos that look alike — burst-mode shots, screenshots taken seconds apart, near-duplicate exports — not just byte-identical files.

Every group is shown as a side-by-side thumbnail grid so you decide visually which to keep, and comparison runs entirely on your Mac.

How to use it

  1. 1Open iSweepy and select Similar Images under Storage.
  2. 2Pick the folders or Photos library location to scan.
  3. 3Click Scan and let on-device comparison run.
  4. 4Review each group's thumbnail grid and pick a favorite.
  5. 5Click Clean to move the rest to Trash.

Safety note

iSweepy always shows you a full preview before anything is removed. Nothing is deleted until you review the list and confirm — files go to the macOS Trash (never a raw delete), so you can recover them until you empty it.
