Duplicate Finder hashes files across the folders you choose and groups exact-content matches together, regardless of file name — so a renamed copy is still caught.

Nothing is ever selected for you: every group starts unchecked, and iSweepy simply marks the oldest copy as a hint — you decide which duplicates go and which stay.

How to use it

  1. 1Open iSweepy and select Find Duplicates under Storage.
  2. 2Pick the folders to scan.
  3. 3Click Scan and wait for hashing to complete.
  4. 4Review each duplicate group and tick the copies you want to remove — nothing is pre-selected.
  5. 5Click Clean to move the ticked copies to Trash.

Safety note

iSweepy compares full file content, not just names or sizes, and never selects anything on your behalf — you tick exactly which copies move to the Trash, and removals stay reversible until you empty it.
