Maintenance

Pro

DNS flush, Spotlight reindex, and other health tasks.

Maintenance bundles the routine terminal-level tasks that keep macOS running smoothly — flushing the DNS cache, rebuilding Spotlight's index, and clearing font caches — behind a single click.

Each task is scoped to your user session and fully reversible; nothing here touches system files outside Apple's own documented maintenance commands.

How to use it

  1. 1Open iSweepy and select Maintenance under System.
  2. 2Review the list of available maintenance tasks.
  3. 3Select the ones you want to run.
  4. 4Click Run to execute the selected tasks.
  5. 5Check the Activity Log for a summary of what ran.

Safety note

System-level actions here are reversible and scoped to your user session — iSweepy never modifies protected system files, and every change is logged in the Activity Log so you can see exactly what ran.
