Trash Bins

Free

Every Trash on your Mac, in one place.

macOS keeps more than one trash bin: your user Trash, per-volume Trash on external drives, and Time Machine's local snapshots of deleted files. Most people only ever empty the first one.

This module finds every trash location attached to your Mac and totals up how much space they're quietly holding onto.

How to use it

  1. 1Open iSweepy and select Trash Bins under Cleaning.
  2. 2Click Scan to detect every Trash location, including external volumes.
  3. 3Review the size shown per location.
  4. 4Choose which bins to empty.
  5. 5Confirm to permanently empty the selected bins.

Safety note

Emptying a Trash bin is the one action in iSweepy that is intentionally final, matching Finder's own behavior — review the size and location carefully before confirming.
